4. Accuracy of Results

WhatsMyName App checks publicly accessible URLs and returns results based on platform response patterns. Results are provided for informational purposes only and are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or current.

A found result indicates that a platform returned a response consistent with an active account at the searched username at the time of the search. It does not confirm the identity of the account owner. The same username may be used by different people on different platforms.

A not found result indicates no active account was detected under that username on that platform at the time of the search. It does not confirm that an account never existed or will never exist.

Error results are inconclusive. They indicate an unexpected platform response and should be verified manually.

You are responsible for how you interpret and use the results returned by this tool. We are not liable for decisions made based on search results.

5. Intellectual Property

The platform detection data powering this tool is sourced from the WhatsMyName project created by Micah Hoffman and maintained by the open-source community. This dataset is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0). Use of the dataset must comply with the terms of that license.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the application code or frontend design of this site without prior written permission from WhatsMyName App.

6. Third-Party Platforms

Search results include links to third-party platform profiles. These platforms are independent of WhatsMyName App. We have no control over their content, availability, or terms of service. Links to third-party platforms are provided for convenience only and do not constitute endorsement.

Accessing a third-party platform through a link from this site is subject to that platform's own terms of service and privacy policy.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

This site and tool are provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
